باب الرد على من قَالَ إن اليهود والنصارى من أمة محمد صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
1 - أَخْبَرَنَا المروذي، قَالَ: سألت أبا عبد الله عن اليهود والنصارى، من أمة محمد هم؟ فغضب غضبا شديدا، وقال: هذه مسألة قذرة، لا يتكلم فيها.
قلت: فأنكر على من قَالَ ذا؟ قال: هذه مسألة قذرة جدا لا يتكلم فيها.
وعاب أبو عبد الله على من تكلم فيها
2 - أَخْبَرَنَا محمد بن علي بن بحر، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يعقوب بن بختان أنه سأل أبا

«But among the bedouins are some who believe in Allah and the Last Day and consider what they spend as means of nearness to Allah and of [obtaining] invocations of the Messenger. Unquestionably, it is a means of nearness for them. Allah will admit them to His mercy. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.»
