مُقَدّمَة الْمُؤلف
بِسم الله الرَّحْمَن الرَّحِيم
الْحَمد لله: أَحْيَا بِمَا شَاءَ مآثر الْآثَار بعد الدُّثُور ووفق لتفسير كِتَابه الْعَزِيز بِمَا وصل إِلَيْنَا بِالْإِسْنَادِ العالي من الْخَبَر الْمَأْثُور وَأشْهد أَن لَا إِلَه إِلَّا الله وَحده لَا شريك لَهُ شَهَادَة تضَاعف لصَاحِبهَا الأجور وَأشْهد أَن سيدنَا مُحَمَّدًا عَبده وَرَسُوله الَّذِي أَسْفر فجره الصَّادِق فمحا ظلمات أهل الزيغ والفجور صلى الله وَسلم عَلَيْهِ وعَلى آله وَصَحبه ذَوي الْعلم الْمَرْفُوع وَالْفضل الْمَشْهُور صَلَاة وَسلَامًا دائمين ممر اللَّيَالِي والدهور
وَبعد: فَلَمَّا ألفت كتاب ترجمان الْقُرْآن وَهُوَ التَّفْسِير الْمسند عَن رَسُول الله وَأَصْحَابه رَضِي الله عَنْهُم وَتمّ بِحَمْد الله فِي مجلدات فَكَانَ مَا أوردته فِيهِ من الْآثَار بأسانيد الْكتب الْمخْرج مِنْهَا واردات رَأَيْت قُصُور أَكثر الهمم عَن تَحْصِيله ورغبتهم فِي الِاقْتِصَار على متون الْأَحَادِيث دون الْإِسْنَاد وتطويله فخلصت مِنْهُ هَذَا الْمُخْتَصر مُقْتَصرا فِيهِ على متن الْأَثر مصدرا بالعزو والتخريج إِلَى كل كتاب مُعْتَبر وسميته: الدّرّ المنثور فِي التَّفْسِير بالمأثور وَالله أسأَل أَن يُضَاعف لمؤلفه الأجور ويعصمه من الْخَطَأ والزور بمنه وَكَرمه إِنَّه الْبر الغفور
The Noble Quran - Quran translation
«O YOU who have attained to faith! Whenever believing women come unto you, forsaking the domain of evil, examine them, [although only] God is fully aware of their faith; and if you have thus ascertained that they are believers, do not send them back to the deniers of the truth, [since] they are [no longer] lawful to their erstwhile husbands, and these are [no longer] lawful to them. None the less, you shall return to them whatever they have spent [on their wives by way of dower]; and [then, O believers,] you will be committing no sin if you marry them after giving them their dowers. On the other hand, hold not to the marriage-tie with women who [continue to] deny the truth, and ask but for [the return of] whatever you have spent [by way of dower] -just as they [whose wives have gone over to you] have the right to demand [the return of] whatever they have spent. Such is God's judgment: He judges between you [in equity] - for God is all-knowing, wise.»
